Two Decades Building on the Web

Matthew has spent his career turning ideas into working software — from full-scale social networks and custom web platforms built on PHP and Symfony, to client sites, internal tools, and marketing pages for businesses across British Columbia and beyond. He founded Ukritic Ventures Inc., a Victoria, BC web development studio, where he leads development, business strategy, and client relationships end to end — translating technical solutions into business value rather than just shipping code.

Before focusing full-time on web development, Matthew worked on the production side of the entertainment industry, contributing CG modeling, animation, and visual effects to television and film projects. That same problem-solving streak carries over into his other pursuits — racing stock cars on Vancouver Island's short tracks and building strategic Magic: The Gathering decks.
